This is the story of Creation and a history of Man Passed down through generations now we hand it down again I could tell the truth or I could tell you a lie Truth is honesty gonna wring the water from your eye You'd think it would be simple but soon enough you will learn Nothings ever simple all that's cut and dried will burn Born into hunger and the lucky found a meal All were born stark naked, some are naked still Dusty sky will settle to the earth The rain will fall and offer us rebirth Our bodies lie entangled like the roots Of the saplings that our grandfathers grew Roots go deep listen the beat Weave these threads of history Listen the sound, bass gun ya down This roots future digital

Depth of the darkness surrounding my soul Is only as deep as the river is low Depth of the darkness around us all Can always be lit by the firefly's glow Day turns to night, and the night turns to day Death turns to life, and the life slowly fades
5.
Your Voice brings the sunshine, your voice brings the rain Your voice brings me joy, your voice brings me pain There'll be crying at the birth, and there'll be laughing at the wake For every candle lit, there comes a shadow much the same You can choose your road, but not the path that it will take Pushing that samsara life to life and name to name Some are still in slumber, we are dreaming this awake Your voice brings the sunshine

The clouds form the clouds break The rain falls The sun paints patterns in the sky To apologize for its mistake Pick me a mango from the mango tree Enough mangos here for you and me

Breathe deep with me all my family This is the moment for each one to lead Coconut wireless, collective consciousness Love's constant climax is why we exist Love is the force that gave each of us our lives Looking around all I see are allies What was underground is now bubbling up its the crude truth they can't keep on barreling up Miss Emma Goldman dontcha worry bout we Our revolution got dancing feet Bust a new move pon an ancient beat Evolve as our world revolves at greater speed Ancestors and generations to come Speak through the drum, as we facing up to the gun Power comes through us as we realize We're warriors born at the turn of the tide Wake with my doubt and learn to shake it out Jumping from waterfalls faith in the falling y'all Lookin at our world with truth in our eyes Dance while we fight and we laugh while we cry Miss Emma Goldman dontcha worry bout we Our revolution got dancing feet Bust a new move pon an ancient beat Evolve as our world revolves at greater speed occupy was our society's awkward first stage of puberty for society to reach maturity seems a revolution is necessary And the time is up soon, fact time is now Systems are crumbling we're breaking them down Mushroom in my mind is here to remind me of work to be done, battle songs to be sung Fighting mentalities with the logic of love Miss Emma Goldman dontcha worry bout we Our revolution got dancing feet Bust a new move pon an ancient beat Evolve as our world revolves at greater speed

Puta 04:11
Like the man said, if this club is the kinda place That'd take someone like me Then its probably not the kind of place I really want to be If I'm just here cause I got a lil bit of money in my pocket Then Fuck it, its not something I need Goddamn girl, your ass so fine But ya want me to pay to make it mine Goddamn man, the music's so tight But it don't feel right lit so neon bright Sittin at the bar she leans over the counter To show off her pussy And brother believe that it sure looked alright to me Daydreaming about the night and living up a dream But that Mickey Mouse a hustler man I don't buy my smack from Disney... Goddamn girl, your ass so fine But ya want me to pay to make it mine Goddamn man, the music's so tight But it don't feel right lit so neon bright

New Souls 04:17
Old souls abandon the places they rest their heads To seek out a way out of their bodies Young souls jump into the unknown to lose their heads Wilin' out in the time they're allotted Today I'm a new soul Ecstatic, erratic, so frightened and bold Tomorrow an old soul Steadily seeking the way to go home To this road there is no end I'll see you in the next my friend.

about

This music has been collected, channeled, cultivated, crafted, cross-pollinated, and broadcasted for the last 3 years of my life, on the road between California, Colorado, Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, and Belize. What emerged is bass-heavy journalism, digital re-imagining of organic sounds carrying roots music to the next generation. This is Roots Future Digital, in joy!

If you are able to support the music, know that it's a huge help. What's most important is that you enjoy it, and that if you enjoy it, you share it. Love, -Mike
